Year 9 and Year 10

Social inquiries (Yr 9 - Global Challenge and Year 10 - Contested issue).

Students frame their own inquiry, manage themselves through its stages and plan a social action. Agency and flexibility allow room to extend oneself with teacher encouragement and support.

Assessment

Different mode/level of difficulty depending on format chosen to communicate understanding in three of four assessments: research; perspectives; extended written response.

Topics/units

Teachers extend more able students in class when able to during the course of topic delivery.

Students are able to work to their ability with others on creating an enterprise (business) of their own. This is offered through senior Business Studies.
