Staying involved

There are a variety of ways that you can get involved and support Hutt Valley High School to provide the widest possible range of opportunities for our students.

Support students at HVHS

The school welcomes financial support for students, whether to support outstanding students, students in need or to address areas where government funding is insufficient to meet the school’s goals and aspirations. You are able to make a general donation here or click on the individual hyperlinks below for specific campaigns.

Areas that existing sponsors support include:

- Purchasing new uniform

- Contributing to the costs of (EOTC) Education Outside The Classroom costs. Such as;

International trips, Year 9 Camps, or classroom excursions.

- Donations to support the purchase of student-owned equipment e.g BYOD (Bring Your Own Device)

- Contributions towards the breakfast club.

- Donations towards ending period poverty with in the school.

- Personal hygiene products donations.

- Former Refugee and Migrant fees fund.

Please contact Denise Johnson (Acting Principal) to discuss.

School Board

The School Board, as the governing entity of the school, requires volunteers to provide the governance function of the school. While this is a small group, it is vital to the school’s success and relies on people who are willing to offer a substantial and on-going commitment of time to the school. Sporting Involvement

Many of our sports teams are run with the assistance of parents and members of the public who care about sports. Sport is a great way to advance students’ personal growth, both through physical well-being and health, and mentally through self-discipline and involvement with a team who have shared goals. Students meet others whom they would not normally meet within their classroom setting and so increase their network of friendships. At Hutt Valley we have over 800 students playing regular competition sport, involving the assistance of well over 200 volunteers, including 50 teachers. We always need more help to run this large enterprise, which the Director of Sport Jacinta Keenan is thrilled to see continuing to grow. To say that a sports programme of this size is not possible without the support is a cliché, but it is absolutely true.

We need coaches, managers, and people willing to provide transport either on a regular basis or for occasional trips, members of the various Sports Committees and volunteers for fund-raising.

Rugby Sponsorship Programme

We are very pleased to offer you an exciting opportunity for sponsoring our rugby teams here at Hutt Valley High School.  This will provide an excellent chance for you or your business to show your support of our rugby community and to gain local and regional exposure for your company brand.

We have a range of sponsorship possibilities that you can take advantage of as a company or through individual donations. These are contained in the below document.  This will help us build a strong rugby foundation for the future.

{DISCLAIMER} Please ensure you have contacted or arranged for a sponsorship with Jacinta Keenan before progressing with the payment step.
