As a Student Representative on the HVHS Board, you’ll learn new skills, be able to have your say on important issues and make a positive contribution to your school and community. Any student enrolled at HVHS is eligible to stand for election and vote in the school election for the Student Representative.
As well as being a voice on how your school is governed, being a school board member will provide knowledge and experience for your future – it will look great on your CV too!
What’s involved? The Student Representative will be on the School Board for 12 months starting Wednesday, 20 September. The Student Representative will attend 8-10 board meetings over the year. Before the meeting, you’ll need to read a board pack that takes 1-2 hours to review. Board members also need to check their emails regularly for any updates between meetings.
