Powhiri - welcome to our new students and staff

Ata mārie

Today we start the first full day of school where all students are on site and in their classes learning. Our powhiri was beautiful. We welcomed over 400 new students and 15 new staff to our kura. Thank you to Matua Darell Ngatai, Tinorawe Hawkins (a student leader) and Rawiri Kapea (an old boy and now new staff member) for the part they played in the welcome.

The first couple of days of this week will be very much about forming teacher-student and student-student relationships. There is an opportunity for the whanau, parents and caregivers of our Year 9 students to meet teachers and begin their relationship with us on February 16th at 6pm. More details will follow this week.

We will be sharing news and events via our school Facebook page, school App and this section of the website. Our school is a very busy place and the fast pace can take a little bit of getting used to. It is a good idea to download the App and 'like' the Facebook page so that you can keep up.
