Rationale

The Principal is responsible for ensuring that the provisions of NAG 5 are met.

NAG 5

Each Board of Trustees is also required to:


(i) provide a safe physical and emotional environment for students;

(ii) promote healthy food and nutrition for all students;

(iii) where food and beverages are sold on school premises, make only healthy options available; and

(iv) comply in full with any legislation currently in force or that may be developed to ensure the safety of students and employees.

Guidelines

The Board of trustees will provide support necessary for management to stay up to date with legislated health and safety requirements.

Limitations

The Board of Trustees specifies no limitations on the principal in meeting these provisions.
