Rationale

School procedures will meet the legislative statutes and regulations as set down in the appropriate Acts, Ministry of Education circulars and the Education Gazette.

Each Board of Trustees is also expected to comply with all general legislation concerning requirements such as attendance, the length of the school day, and the length of the school year.

Guidelines

All activity of the School will comply with current legislation. The School will have written management procedures that are actively practised and regularly reviewed for compliance.

  1. The Principal shall inform the Board of Trustees of any compliance matters that require the Board of Trustees’ attention.
  2. The Principal shall keep the Board of Trustees informed of any changes to legislation or regulation that require the Board of Trustees’ action or attention.
  3. School processes will ensure changes in legislation are reflected in documentation and practice.
