Located at the front eastern entrance to the school is the Learning Support Unit or LSU. Here a group of young people with many different needs are catered for.
Students in the LSU have many of their classes in the purpose built building but they also make use of the wider school facilities for Physical Education and Sport. During lunchtime and interval many of the students from the LSU join their peers in the wider school.
The LSU and its students contribute to the diversity and richness of the Hutt Valley High School environment which makes the school a better place.
