Past Pupils

Hutt Valley High School has a very active Past Pupils and Friends Association. Since it ran the very successful 75th Jubilee of the school in October 2001, the association has continued to support the school and communicate with its many members.

The association aims to:-

  • contribute financially to the work of the school archive team;
  • maintain contact with the school;
  • contribute financially to specific projects at the school
  • produce regular newsletters;
  • maintain a presence on the ‘world wide web’;
  • organise functions for past pupils, based at the school
  • encourage others to organise reunions

You can visit the associations’ message board where you can read messages from other past pupils and news items/event reports (with photos) from the association. You can also contact the association by email.

The association has developed a yearly calender of events at HVHS.

  • May: Bridge Run & Walk – a fun event following the Hutt River trail
  • August: Supper following the school music festival
  • September: Afternoon tea & chat for 1st & 2nd decade past pupils

In addition there is a two yearly reunion dinner for 3rd & 4th decade past pupils held in March

HVHS 85th Celebration Dinner for Past Pupils and Staff

Friday 11 November 2011 at the Petone Workingmen’s Club, Udy Street, Petone at 5.00 pm.  Dinner will commence at 6.00 pm.

You will be welcomed by the chairman of the Past Pupils Association, Paul Logan, and the committee.  Stories from your days at HVHS, photos and other memorabilia will be most welcome.  We hope you are able to contact as many old pupils as possible and encourage them to attend.    We have a wonderful Archive section now at HVHS and some of the items from this collection will be on display.
Please register as soon as possible, as numbers are limited.  (Before 1 October 2011).
