Julia and Ise, Brazil and Germany
We arrived in New Zealand in the middle of the year for terms three and four at Hutt Valley High School. We don`t think someone truly understands what an exchange program represents unless the person’s passed through it.
After five months we can say that our time away from home could not have been better. Hutt Valley High has been a big part of our lives here. We met a lot of cool people and we always had somebody to talk to if something did not work out as it was supposed to. The friendships we made here we will keep forever and we will always remember Ms House, Jacqui, Mr Edwards, Suzanne and all the other incredible people that helped us anytime. As well as our host families, which were awesome and we could not have asked for better ones.
Five months may seem a long time but it passes so fast that when you realize your stay in this breath taking country is over. We wish we could stay so much longer because this place feels already like home.

Nós chegamos a Nova Zelândia no meio do ano para os terceiro e quarto termos na escola Hutt Valley High School. Achamos que alguém nao consegue entender de fato o que um intercâmbio significa até que essa pessoa passe por essa experiência.
Após cinco meses nós podemos dizer que nosso tempo longe de casa não poderia ter sido melhor. Hutt Valley High tem sido uma grande parte de nossas vidas. Aqui nós conhecemos diversas pessoas maravilhosas e sempre tivemos alguém para conversar quando as coisas nao saíam como o planejado. As amizades que fizemos, iremos guardar para sempre e sempre lembraremos de Ms House, Jacqui, Mr Edwards, Suzanne e toda essa gente incrível que nos ajudou todos os momentos. Assim como as nossas famílias, as quais nós nunca poderíamos desejar melhores.
Cinco meses podem parecer muito tempo mas passa tão rápido que quando você percebe sua estadia nesse país de tirar o fôlego já acabou. Se pudéssemos, nós gostaríamos de ficar muito mais tempo porque esse lugar já virou a nossa casa.

Wir sind in Neuseeland in der Mitte vom Schuljahr fuer Term drei und vier auf Hutt Valley High School angekommen. Wir glauben, dass man nicht wirklich versteht was ein Austausch Programm bedeutet, wenn man es nicht durch gemacht hat.
Nach fuenf Monaten weg von zu Hause koennen wir sagen, dass unsere Zeit hier haette nicht besser sein koennen. Hutt Valley High war ein grosser Teil unseres Lebens hier. Wir haben viele coole Leute kennen gelernt und es wr immer jemand da mit dem wir reden konnten wenn was mal nicht so gut geklappt hat. Die Freundschaften die wir hier gemacht haben werden hoffentlich fuer immer halten und wir werden uns immer an Mrs House, Jacqui, Mr Edwards, Suzanne und all die anderen tollen Leute erinnern die uns immer geholfen haben. Sowie unsere Gastfamilien welche grossartig waren und wir haetten nicht fuer besser fragen koennen.
Fuenf Monat moegen eine lange Zeit klingen aber es ist so schnell vorbei und wenn du es realisiest ist deine Zeit in diesem atemberaubendem Land vorbei. Wir wuerden gerne laenger hier bleiben weil es sich hier schon fast wie zu Hause anfuehlt.
